Chop Chop!

On the 1st September Lilly (7yrs) and Georgia (9yrs) will be having their gorgeous locks chopped off to raise awareness of brain tumours, and money for The Wight Brainy Bunch following the devastating news that 14 yr old Kayden (Lillys brother, Georgia’s cousin), was diagnosed with a brain tumour earlier this month.
The girls will have this done at Teaze Hair Studio in Carisbrooke, by Lilly’s Aunty, and will donate the hair to the Little Princess Trust (www.littleprincesses.org.uk/donate-hair/ )
Kayden went to the Opticians earlier this month, as he was suffering with headaches. Within 24hrs of his appointment he had been urgently referred to St. Mary’s Hospital, Isle of Wight, had an MRI scan, was diagnosed with a brain tumour, and was air lifted to Southampton General for an urgent biopsy to determine what kind of brain tumour they are dealing with. The biopsy has been sent to Great Ormond Street Hospital for extensive testing, and they are still awaiting for the results.
Kayden is likely to require Proton Beam Treatment in America, and whilst the treatment will be funded on the NHS, the family will of course require further support, which the charity will continue to give.
