Blue Light Breakout!
September 12 @ 10:00 am - September 14 @ 12:00 pm
On the 12th September, teams from the three Emergency Services will ‘escape’ the Isle of Wight and go ‘on the run’ for a 50 hour period with zero planning, as they compete in charity event ‘Blue Light Breakout’, where they will endeavour to get as far away from the Island as possible, raising money in aid of Island charity ‘The Wight Brainy Bunch’.
The teams will consist of two off duty personnel from the IOW Fire and Rescue Service, IOW Ambulance and Hampshire Constabulary who have given their time freely to take part in the challenge to support IOW Firefighter Mark Grimes who founded the charity following his diagnosis of a brain tumour in 2015.
The event is generously supported by Island businesses Novum Law and Maher Ross, along with many others, who have kindly sponsored the event to ensure the teams can be repatriated to the Island following their two-day challenge.
Teams will be tracked throughout the event and the supporters will be able to support and encourage their chosen team by TEXT DONATE.
