Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra Concert

The Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra will be holding their next concert on Saturday 18th March at Medina Theatre.
March’s concert features a new soloist to the IWSO, oboist Fergus McCready. Fergus will perform Richard Strauss’ Oboe Concerto, one of the composers last works. Alongside Brahms’ St Anthony Variations, the Symphony Orchestra will also perform Tchaikovsky’s 3rd Symphony, nicknamed ‘The Polish’, which is both cheerful and boisterous, perhaps even balletic, as it was composed around the same time as Swan Lake.
We are delighted to be their chosen charity for 2023 and look forward to attending, with a bucket collection in the interval.
